Welcome to JukeBox.am ("JukeBox," "we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the "App"). Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the App.

2. Applicability and Legal Compliance
This Privacy Policy is designed to comply with:

- The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA)
- The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
- Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA)
- Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL)
- Apple App Store Review Guidelines, including Apple's privacy nutrition label requirements

If you are a resident of Canada, additional rights and disclosures in Section 13 apply to you. If you are a California resident, additional rights in Section 12 apply to you.

3. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of personal information:
a) Information You Provide Directly

- Account information: Name, email address, username, and password when you register
- Profile information: Profile photo, bio, or other optional details you choose to add
- Communications: Messages or feedback you send to us directly

b) Information Collected Automatically

- Usage data: Features you interact with, playlists created, songs played, and in-app actions
- Device information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and app version
- Log data: IP address, access times, pages viewed, and crash reports
- Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies and comparable tracking technologies to enhance your experience and analyze usage patterns

c) Information from Third Parties

- Third-party sign-in: If you log in via Apple, Google, Spotify, or another provider, we receive basic profile information (such as name and email) as permitted by that provider and your privacy settings
- Music service integrations: If you connect a third-party music service, we may receive listening history or library data as authorized by you


4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:

- Create and manage your account
- Provide, operate, and improve the App and its features
- Personalize your music experience and recommendations
- Process transactions and send related notices (if applicable)
- Send you service-related communications, updates, and security alerts
- Respond to your comments, questions, and support requests
- Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve functionality
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or fraudulent activity
- Comply with legal obligations

- We will not use your personal information for purposes materially different from those described here without providing notice and, where -required by law, obtaining your consent.

5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

- Service providers: We share information with trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the App (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, customer support). These parties are contractually obligated to protect your data and may only use it as directed by us.
- Third-party integrations: If you connect third-party services (e.g., Spotify), information may be shared with those services in accordance with their own privacy policies.
- Business transfers: If JukeBox.am is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
- With your consent: We may share your information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.


6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 10). We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention and enforcing our agreements.

7. Security
We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
If you become aware of any breach of your account security, please notify us immediately at support@jukebox.am.

8. Children's Privacy
JukeBox.am is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 where required by applicable law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete that information. If you believe we may have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us at support@jukebox.am.

9. Third-Party Links and Services
The App may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through our App.

10. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Regardless of your location, you may:

- Access or update your personal information through your account settings
- Delete your account by contacting us at support@jukebox.am
- Opt out of marketing emails by clicking "unsubscribe" in any marketing email or adjusting notification settings in the App
- Withdraw consent to any data processing based on consent, at any time

We will respond to all verifiable requests within 30 days (or within the timeframe required by applicable law).

11. Push Notifications
We may send push notifications to your device. You can opt out at any time by adjusting your device's notification settings or within the App's settings menu.

12. Additional Rights for California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights:

- Right to Know: You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, our business purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
- Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Correct: You may request correction of inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
- Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing: We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide an opt-out mechanism.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: You may direct us to limit our use of sensitive personal information to purposes necessary to provide the services.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA/CPRA rights.

To exercise these rights, contact us at support@jukebox.am or through our in-app support. We will verify your identity before processing your request.
- Shine the Light: California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits users who are California residents to request information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

13. Additional Rights for Canadian Residents (PIPEDA)
If you are located in Canada, the following applies:

- Consent: We collect, use, and disclose your personal information only with your knowledge and consent, except where otherwise required or permitted by law. Your continued use of the App constitutes consent to this policy.
- Accountability: JukeBox.am is responsible for personal information in our possession and has designated a Privacy Officer who can be reached at support@jukebox.am.
- Access and Correction: You have the right to request access to your personal information and to request correction of any inaccuracies.
- Withdrawal of Consent: You may withdraw consent to our collection, use, or disclosure of your personal information at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by contacting us. Note that withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to provide certain services.
- Cross-Border Transfers: Your personal information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside of Canada, including the United States. By using the App, you consent to such transfers. We take steps to ensure that such transfers comply with applicable Canadian privacy law and that your information is protected.
- Complaints: If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at www.priv.gc.ca.


14. International Users
JukeBox.am is operated from and primarily intended for users in Canada and the United States. If you access the App from outside these regions, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries with different privacy laws than your own.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
